This is a true story about a black female engineer, whose personal journey to recreate her most spectacular childhood memories of living in a Make-Believe-World, led to becoming an emigrant in Europe.
As a result, keys from Norway, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Holland, France, England, Trinidad and Tobago opened doors to a whole new world filled with adventures and opportunities.
Laurel shares some of the challenges in her journey and a personal perspective concerning historical events and social justice.
In addition, Laurel bravely shares personal and world views concerning some of the most influential people during the 20th and 21st Centuries such as Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela, former US President Bill Clinton and the Bush family.
"I Have Wings, so Why am I Here?" enables the reader to see parts of the world and encourages world citizens and dreamers to continue on their journeys.
About the Author
Laurel A. Saunders graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with an option in Computer Science and later completed her Masters in Business Administration. During childhood and adolescence, Laurel lived with her parents and siblings in numerous states such as Alaska and Colorado as well as in Europe.
