About the Book
Set in the sixties, this is the story of Jackie White, an attractive, naive and therefore very vulnerable young girl, from an ordinary working class family. Jackie's story is of encounters and dilemmas throughout her early teens, Patrick Denville, her first true love, is the one that steals her young heart. His controlling and spiteful nature leads to her acceptance of his violent temper and of his sexual abuse of her.
Jackie takes centre stage in this novel and it is with her that you will become involved.
You will become completely absorbed in Jackie's early years and reading her story, live with her through all her hopes and dreams.
The author lets Jackie narrate this novel which has more than a touch of bitterness and extremely vivid descriptions. Jackie's story is of harsh reality and after much pain and heartache she finds herself out of her depth. She makes a momentous decision, which changes her direction in life. Never before has she kept such a dark secret, never before has she deceived in this way. Read where this takes her.

This is my first novel and presently I am writing its sequel called Yellow and Red.
