About the Book

The author Richard Howatson is a well educated, 62 year old World travelled man with many professions and experiences behind him, and a single parent. With only wanting the best for his daughter as any parent would he risked everything leaving his tropical home in the Seychelles Islands to settle in a very cold wet Dungarvan Town in Southern Ireland seeking a better education for his only daughter, but that was back in 1992. Richard left the Republic of Ireland in 1999 after being a victim of a witch hunt that very nearly ended his life.

What has he learnt from his horrific experience "never trust anyone who says "in the interest and welfare of the child", take this very seriously and get professional help at once and do not allow social services to interrogate your child unless you are allowed to be present and do not agree to any interim care orders?

It is hard to explain to your child years later that you did not abandon them- Richard lost everything including his daughter because of a couple of zealous people exploiting their positions of power to get more power. Richard lived to tell his story and here it is. Richards's case took 1 and half years to be vindicated over a million pounds of tax payer's money and 6 x years for him to get custody back of his child.
