ROAD SIGN 3 Do Spirits Exist? Storming Heaven, Ripping The Aura Neither of us knew Don was a medium. We were 17. I needed a quick answer. Does life continue after death? To know this creates a new paradigm. A sense of excitement develops. You now have more time than you thought to get it all done. I discovered after death we just continue doing what we what we know best. I already believed in immortality but we need our knowings experientially with this particular brain, this particular ego which is a new *probe. Probe as in, say, an inquiring mind. We trust our five senses, but we don’t trust another’s five senses, and the 6th sense is still under scrutiny as authentic. If I could get this question settled I planned on spreading the good news as even though I was a quiet person, underneath was this intention to spread the word. ROAD SIGN 10 Dual Consciousness: Future Self Meets Denial This road sign describes dual consciousness. I know how it occurred now. Knowing how I created it lends meaningfulness and a certain clue to learn how to repeat similar journeys, although after the message is absorbed the human spirit will be about the business of greater conceptualization and so each exploration will have to be unique. You could call dual consciousness an expansion of mind. I had read how others had looked upon their own body as they floated above it. I was curious what that would feel like. Curiosity can be potent if thought about a few times. I wondered if I would freak out, pun intended. I brushed it from my mind but the desire returned and I thought again how much I would like to look upon my body in 3 dimensional style. Looking in the mirror was a flat image. Not as much fun to view a reflection only. Do wishes come true? Perhaps I had wished hard. I had managed to set an intention through a wish. I knew nothing about setting intentions yet, which was like making a decision and releasing the thought to the ethers and powers that be. My mindset was, yes, it would be nice to do this, on the other hand, it probably won’t happen for me. Therefore I surprised myself; yes, a wish can come true. Road Sign 17 Serial Rapist/killer Retrieval Account This retrieval was typical astral projection, yet an awakening that I was strong female polarity, but only in this life. In my spirit I was both energies in balance. I needed to accept that I was this here and now and be ok with the fact that gender is just a role here we put on for the learning. I was gathering intense experiences while obe. I had intentions to discover where my strengths lie and if something bad was happening to a good person, how did you turn it around without going under and still take responsibility for creation of your reality and that circumstance which felt bad when you knew you hadn’t meant to set yourself up? I found out being a woman didn’t mean you were the weaker sex. Good heavens, where would I get that idea? I must have accepted it and then forgotten I had accepted it. The mind film I glided on was a perk. My body slept this time while I woke up in the astral. I sensed supporting players which relaxed me. A stage was being set up. I was creating my reality by the thoughts I had entertained in C1. (Consciousness Level One, ordinary waking consciousness) ROAD SIGN 15 The First Retrieval: Can I Help You? I lay sleeping not suspecting tonight was initiation into what soul retrievals were. I had read about them in Robert Monroe’s books and found it fascinating and wished that I could do one. Then I forgot about my desire and went on with my life oblivious that wishes are thought beams. I had attracted the attention of a nonphysical guide with my wish. On this night back in the early 80’s my attention awoke to sudden alertness. The whole of myself seemed a focus of awareness, a microscopic fixated attention void of thought, feeling, or memory; a huge ear fastened unto an equally huge eye. Just attention; that’s all I was. I was being called upon! A gentle click sensation was felt between the brow; an indication of energy movement. I was aware and sensing I was going somewhere with someone, yet not with the physical body. At first I was without a single question and I was not choosing to go; I was simply moving through an unknown cosmic landscape and fear was not. I would record the memory within the brain. I had never been awakened this way and escorted into another realm. “Come with me.” she conveyed urgently. I knew her, she knew me. But from where or when? It was not a question nor command, it was like we agreed simultaneously that I did not need to choose; as if I had chosen long ago to cascade far into this other world. Yes! yes I will I seemed to say overjoyed to sail. I traveled with this feminine gender entity who appeared self composed, as on a quiet mission. I took another look; she seemed to be studious like a bookworm type, a person who would get an A in a classroom perhaps. I also thought she wouldn’t be the type to roll off a cliff as an orb just for the sensation of the experiment. She was unemotional. I couldn’t place her, but I could trust her.

About the Book
It feels like a classical, yet singular soul journey. A memoir of 25 life events which also feel like road signs I journeyed down. All of life is but a journey. Laughing Rain (LR) has always kept one eye on the afterlife while juggling the attainment of material needs and raising two children as a single parent. The 25 road signs are paranormal, yet to LR, very normal. She writes 304 pages of what is a full, inner life, the life of a contemplative who declares silence to be golden while the pen lays the golden egg. The book is essentially about a person in contact with nonphysical beings and/or soul memories, perhaps dimensional layers of other persons she has been. We may call these internal knowings the intuitive factor, the guidance factor of an otherwise solitary life trek. It's about being human and divine at the same time as well as astral traveling, known as out of body experiences. Spirit as a blank canvas becomes many self images, donning a pose before the god of our being. The accent is on oneness rather than individuality, but it's also about being who you are as you cannot be what you are not and still tell the truth. It's sad, funny, happy, passionate, all the things that a human experiences yet beyond emotions, into the knowing of our unlimited potential to experience all of our dreams and all of our ongoing potentiality. It offers the reader a glimpse into a future environment within spiritual realm, as LR keeps an eye on the afterlife which is the same thing as the future, and there is this subtle bleedthrough of foresight within the pages. Road Signs is a good study for the psychologist or theologian or as a human interest story. It touches on the human soul attaining help from on high and how one may overcome fears and/or doubts and keep an eye on what is the loving thing to do in all circumstances. It is written for all the friends who reached to the author, lending an ear so I could write it down. There would be nothing to write without their help and gentle inspirations. In that case it is a self transformational book.
About the Author
Laughing Rain AKA Alysia McAlister was born in Calif. in 1946. Mother of twin daughters. One daughter is a graphic artist and designed the book cover of Road Signs, Shifting Gears Between Two Worlds. The other daughter is a travel writer. Laughing Rain was a single parent as of 1983 and considers parenthood to be the most important career of all. She has taken many jobs to support her and the children and had a bit of good fortune with the purchase, remodel and sale of older housing, which enabled book writing time. You might say LR was born to blog at this point, as writing is the great love of her life, as well singing karaoke at night as a hobby is also a most enjoyable activity. She is retired. LR has been a resthome entertainer, owner of a housekeeping business, had a chicken farm which was most enjoyable and various other odd jobs which we won't mention here as some jobs, such as shining shoes or wearing a twinkie suit are downright embarrassing, but she is the adventurous sort. She currently is living in the TriCities area of Arizona, where the river runs through town, and finds this also, a great adventure.
