About the Book

Why I am writing this book. After my wife died in February, 2000 after a very successful and happy marriage of fifty four years, I did some travelling and while staying in Australia by a younger brother I read How to know God by Deepak Chopra. So, on my return to Canada, I started to read and study tapes about religion and life styles, also I started a communication with a lady Maria Duval who introduced me to astrology, tarot cards, the I Ching and mantras, it all helped me to get a better outlook on life and change my lifestyle, as I feel, for the better. I made several more trips to Europe and Middle America and that gave me the incentive to start studying and researching the different subjects which resulted in the writing of this book.

My own lifestyle I have and still try to make compatible with what my book is all about, because I believe very strongly that “you have to practice the subjects first, before you can preach them.” I have included some personal experiences wherever I felt it was appropriate to do so. The writing of this book has helped me also to make my approach to what I call my new and better lifestyle more successful. Let me tell you changing your lifestyle is hard work and writing a book about also, but I hope that some of my readers can pick up some incentive or advice, that will make everything I am trying to accomplish so much better.
