About the Book
When Bart Bartowski arrives at the RCMP detachment he is handed over to two Saskatoon detectives who question him about a body that was discovered on the town's lakeside golf course. Bart is incredulous when they describe it as murder, but even more so when they point the finger at his lifelong friend, Nick Taylor. Soon the RCMP and even the townspeople are convinced they've got their man. But do they?
Bart's investigative ventures weave their way through the fabric of this small prairie town, from the Co-op Store, usually a good place to pick up the latest eavesdroppings, to coffee-row, where rumours can run rampant. But, sticking his nose where it don't belong comes at no small cost. Bart's life is threatened, his family endangered, and he's harassed by the cops, not happy with his interference in what they consider an open and shut case.
