About the Book
Charles was a man born in the ghetto in Jamaica. He had witnessed violence at an early age and soon adopted that lifestyle. After a bank robbery gone terribly wrong, he moved to Canada in an attempt to start anew. His time in Canada would not be an easy one. His criminal past was slowly closing in on him and along the way he lost the love of his life as he tried to stay straight. After taking revenge on everyone that tried to harm him, he simply moved away.
Charles surfaced in a place called Hell in Grand Cayman with a new wife and a determination to stay straight. Soon he was enjoying this new lifestyle and began to rub shoulders with the rich and sought new adventures, thinking he had finally gotten out of the hood. He was wrong; everywhere he went, people that he thought were his friends, past girlfriend and even strangers were out to get him.
When his mother became ill in Toronto, Charles made the decision to pay her a visit and in so doing, he would cross paths with people from his past once more. Soon his world as he knew it was slowly changing however Charles was not interested in having others control his destiny. This time he would not be running away, he would face them and show them no mercy.
About the Author
V. Owen Ramsay was born in Jamaica where he spent his childhood. He attended York University in Ontario, Canada where he received his B.A. majoring in Sociology. After graduation, he began his work in the field of correction in Ontario. He is married and he and his wife have a son. The inspiration to write began as a hobby and he was encouraged by family and friends to write. No Mercy is his follow-up to his first novel, A Foot in the Hood - No Turning Back.
