About the Book
My first encounter occurred in 1938 in my own province. I was then seven years old. Readings of Philippine history books and published articles also become integral parts in some chapters.
After I left my country of origin in 1994, I felt short of personally knowing presidents Fidel V. Ramos (1992-1998), Joseph Estrada (1998-2001) and incumbent Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (2001 to date).
On the latter, however, my son Evan Oliver A. Eleazar was able to request and obtain her bio-sketch upon her assumption to office in 2001. Likewise, he gathered the presidential photos, some courtesy of the Malacañan Palace Library.
