About the Book

Twenty years after her parents have divorced, and now both dead, Becky, an only child, has the opportunity to move back to the town she grew up in. She has the chance to live in the family's home and in the process of making changes to the house; she finds new friends and relationships that help her realize who she is and what she is looking for. Through dreams and flashbacks, she slowly learns to understand what is important in life and what isn't. Desperately missing her grandparents and father and hating her mother, Becky finds what had always been hiding deep inside of her.

About the Author

For many years, JoAlice Garbrick has had the desire to be a writer. She wrote a children's book, which she hopes to have published very soon. She is also in the process of finishing another book, which was started a few months ago. For seven years she worked in public schools with young children who had disabilities, and then moved into the position of office manager at a dentist office. After being a single mom for almost 10 years, in May of 1999, she married her "best friend" Bob whom she met while working for the dentist. He has four children from a previous marriage. Bob and JoAlice have five grandchildren with more to come, and a Shih Tzu named Sadie. Living in Arizona for most of her life, the couple now lives in Chula Vista, California.
