About the Book
This story was inspired by my youngest son's experience in losing his first tooth. It talks about some of the changes our bodies go through from a child's point of view. What we, as adults see as normal growth, children see as a big deal and some even see it as a crisis at the time. One of our main responsibilities as parents is to try and help mold our children's prospective on life. Jon Jon is now 15 years old and I am proud to say that how we, as parents handled his growing experience, contributed to his self-esteem in a very positive manner.
About the Author
My name is Iris Santiago I was born in New York City. My goal is to write about my experience working with children and raising my own. I believe that children go through a lot of issues when they start school for the first time and during their school year.
That is why I believe that we need to listen to what they have to say, we need to help them resolve their issues in a positive manner and you will be surprised how fast they learn and move on. I wrote this book at a childs level so that they can understand that they are going to go through changes, that it happens to all of us and that it doesn't have to be a bad experience. We have to let them know that it is going to be all right.
