About the Book

I want to help children understand that pets are a huge undertaking, not much different from them, and that a commitment to a pet is very important and special. I would like to encourage children to have a pet, but to realize that pets can be work as well as fun. If a pet is treated with love, respect, and care, the love and devotion in return is incredible. A pet can be a joy for many years, but also requires much time and attention.

This kitten was not far from death when my son brought her home. With much love and devotion to this little creature, we were able to save her life. In return we had many years of enjoyment and pleasure from her playful behaviour.

About the Author

All of my stories are based on true life experiences.

There have been many opportunities for me to enjoy children. Firstly with my own children, then the Grandchildren and now the Great Grandchildren. I have worked with children a good part of my life both in Children's Ministry at my Church and with my career with the Surrey School District. Many other areas in my life have involved working or volunteering with youngsters, thus giving me many creative ideas.

Growing up on the Canadian Prairies gave me a great appreciation for books. We only had a few, which I read over and over. I always wanted to write for children, and I am so grateful to be able to do it now.
