Triset De Fonseka was born and educated in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She first learned her culinary skills from her grandmother at the age of six. She migrated with her familiy to the United States of America in 1984. She published her first cook book Easy Cooking with Herbs & Spices in 1993, of which thousands of copies have sold.
Thereafter ventured off to open the only Sri Lankan restaurant "Aralia" in Cincinnati, Ohio over 12 years and also conducts cooking classes. She is one of the best celebrated chef's in Cincinnati. She resides in Mason, Ohio.
