About the Author

Rick Van Dam was born in Holland. One of three children and came to Australia by ship in 1958 as a migrant. Took up the guitar at the early age of ten and started to play with bands when he was fifteen years old. He had an exiting life and travelled around the world as a musician for many years. Entertained the troops in the Viet Nam War from 1972 to 1974. Then travelled around Australia with many bands. While thinking about writing song for his wife Kay Sue, he came to the idea of writing one short tale, which extended to fifty-four tales.
