The Voice in My Head

About the Book
Enclosed are the changes, in the life of a former sinner. In 2001, my life took a 360 degree turn(although I didnÕt know it at the time). I was invited a former co-worker (I'm retired) to be her guest at Greater Grace Trinity Baptist Church. The love and peace I experienced (and continued to) made me a member. Everyone is family and encouraged to participate in everything. I wrote a poem for a Father's Day Program in 2003. Since that day, there has been a voice in my head, a rhyme of thoughts if you will. I ignored it at first, but there was an insistence, an unseen will stronger than my own. Stronger than anything I have ever experienced. Part of the regular service was to read a selection from Pastor Joseph Hooks Poetry Book. I asked if I could read my poem one Sunday and everyone loved it. Since then, I have been writing a poem a week, then a poem a day, then two or three a day. The words come so fast I cannot always keep up. This is a quick background on how this book came to be. People like my work so much, I get requests for special poems. I have noted some here..."Suicide", "Me and God & The Midnight Hour."
My faith is solid. God has given me a gift of words that I need to share with others. Hopefully I can give people a better perspective of God. I love angels, I believe when someone comes into church an Angels arises and gives up a seat.
