About the Book
After losing his fiancée, Jamie, when their downtown San Francisco building collapsed, Matt Skinner never recovered from his destructive grief. However, with the help of his friends and his psychiatrist, Dr. Taylor, he resumed a somewhat normal life and became a taxidermist – a trade that had always intrigued him. He became very successful at his craft, and the curator of the Museum of Modern Arts engaged his regular services – until one day when lunacy set in and Matt Skinner became the most-wanted killer in the US. Putting his well-honed skills to use, Matt decided to rebuild Jamie – piece by piece – using his victims' body parts. The ensuing bloodbath was something the city would never forget.
As soon as the FBI got involved, the hunt began. Patricia McIntosh and Patrick Karlowski were assigned to the case under the watchful eye of Patricia's father, FBI Assistant Director Webber. Patricia's life was already in shambles – raising a teenage daughter is never simple – when unexplained dreamlike visions of the killings began to plague her mind. For the sake of the victims, McIntosh had no choice; she had to describe her dreams to her partner. Would he think she was as mad as the killer himself? What Skinner laid before them misled everyone and drew Patricia and Matt into a deadly battle. Will The Taxidermist ever leave this life? – A question that will keep the reader guessing to the last page of this most thrilling story.
