About the Book
This book is a sure-fire guide to a purposeful and successful life. It demonstrates that success in life is never easier, never more fulfilling, more lasting, than when the journey toward success is rooted in faith. In response to Rick Warren’s encouragement in The Purpose Driven® Life, the book is written to provide a layman’s account of how success is achieved through faith.
It is a conversation between a father and his son. It is the result of the son’s request of his dad to record the secrets of his success, so that the son would not forget them, and so would be able to use them as a roadmap to his own success.
The conversation between father and son starts on a cool spring morning and lasts well into the evening. In it the dad provides his son with a treasure trove of techniques for success.
Anchoring the book are ten simple rules for success. When followed, the rules yield incredible blessings and rewards.
At the end of the book are appendices with practical exercises on each chapter. The exercises allow the reader to identify life skills gaps. The reader then has an opportunity to create an action plan to do the things necessary to close the identified gaps. The lessons learned from the book will lead the reader to a purposeful and successful life.
