About the Book

Five couples, five men and women, born in England and France, who find love for each other. Who in spite of the war between their countries, which forces them apart, finding solace with others, go to America, to eventually find each other again.

Set in Maryland and Ohio in the 18th. Century at the time of the ‘Seven Years War’. The second book of five, following ‘Maryland’. Continuing the saga of the two Protestant and Roman Catholic Carroll families. Daniel Carroll, grandson of Sir David and Amelia Carroll, with his boyhood friend George Washington as they explore the region of Ohio, where France and Britain go to war to decide who owns it.

Accurately describing the true lives of several white woman sentenced for a crime in England, to endure both domestic and sexual slavery, for several years to men without marriage. Desperately trying to limit the number of children they may bear them.

The love stories of men and women, torn apart, though of different nationalities, virtual enemies, meet, come to know and understand each other, becoming friends. Overcoming their differences helping them to meet again the women they love.

Made possible, only, because of this region called ‘Ohio’.

Though a fiction story, and including many families introduced in the previous book, every event is historically accurate, as are the many actual persons such as George Washington, governors of the colonies and military persons. Now enjoy the love stories and enjoy living in those far off days.

About the Author

After a highly successful career in education and politics, he has become a successful historical author. His successful fiction novel ÒMakere-the Female Pharaoh-Queen of ShebaÓ is based on his discovery of 500 Years error in Ancient Egyptian history.
