About the Book

This is a book of poems, verses and rhymes for children of all ages. There are over 175, and it covers a wide variety of subjects at various times of the year with many amusing characters. It includes the alphabet and 'Santa' for the smaller children, animals, nature, family and much more. There is also a collection of amusing 'short stories', which works well for all members of the family. It is ideal for children to read themselves or for bedtime stories. It is a unique collection of poems, verses and rhymes with a combination of learning and educational reading, yet at at the same time, fun and entertaining. It is suitable for children from the age of three upwards.

About the Author

I am in my mid-forties, married, and I have three grown up children. I re-located from Buckinghamshire in 2000, and now I live in a very beautiful part of the Country in Poole, Dorset, England.

The scenery along the coastline can be extremely dramatic, the sandy beaches are magical, and the surrounding countryside is pretty and peaceful. All in all - it's breath taking, a perfect part of the world to live in, and plays a very big part in the inspiration of my writing now.

Undoubtedly, the best years of my life were while I was raising my children. Obviously, as all parents out there will be aware, raising a family is very time consuming. So, when time allowed, I wrote poems, verses and stories, which I would read to my children. I feel it is very important to share time together and it was a wonderful way in which to do that. Children are constantly learning, and by reading themselves, or having stories read to them, it can only enhance the fun and enjoyment shared by all. For me, this was a wonderful experience and lets not forget, we too can learn from our children.

My two biggest passions in life are writing and travelling. We were lucky enough to have travelled to many countries both near and far as a family, and shared some lovely experiences together. Even though my children are all grown up now and following their own career paths, I continue to write, and I have written another book titled "Inspire Your Mind."

A Collection of Children's Poems, Verses & Rhymes is a unique combination, suitable for children of all ages, many of which where written for my own children and are very 'tried and tested'!

This book is dedicated to my children, for their inspiration to me while they were young. I wrote about experiences I learnt from them, or we learnt and shared together. I hope they will pass it down to their own children one day. Who knows, the time may soon be upon me whereby I will have grandchildren, and a whole new 'generation' of poems, verses and stories may emerge.
