About the Book
The birth defect of being real only on the inside, had made the true me invisible. Therefore, my life's journey has been a search to find a method of bringing my true-self to the surface.
My journey to personal fulfillment began with a crash dummy impersonation and catching a baseball with my face. As if the day-to-day survival wasn't difficult enough, I was drafted into the Vietnam War. Personal dreams of a future life would depend on combating military authority. Only from the Eagle's Talon and the Mexican Underground Railroad saved this "Gringo" from an early end.
Maturity and the opportunity took me to around the world, where I: learned to play "Aussie Rules" football the hard way, viewed the ends of the earth from the peak of Mt. Fuji, turned into a Gigolo in Japan, snorkeled with Manta Ray on the Great Barrier Reef, golfed The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland, and ran the Boston Marathon.
Cyberspace enlightened me to a community having the same birth defect. It was possible to fulfill a lifetime dream. Phuket, Thailand became my second birth place. Enjoying the sun, sand, and surf as my true-self taught me that having the proper hormone in the first twenty years is better than the last twenty years. But having the proper hormone at anytime is better than never having it at all.
The true me has learned that: trouble and disappointment travel with the desire to massage the Ego, female golf balls can improve your score, Chinese students are actually polar bears, breathing mud is easier than breathing the atmosphere of China, a certain bidet in Bangkok can heal hemorrhoids.
Successful or not, I've enjoyed a wonderful life and achieved every goal on my list. There are no regrets. I hope you can live long enough to say the same.
