About the Book

Musings is a collection of poems written by the Damsel, a typical teenage girl trying to make sense of the world she is discovering. She is admittedly young and foolish. Her observations are sometimes humorous, sometimes profound, mostly in rhyme, and always entertaining.

The young poet survived and matured, and eventually gained the status of Crone. Scattered throughout the book are a few "cronish" poems, and an occasional commentary. The Crone has broader experience and is not so intensely obsessed with questions of love. She finds poems lurking in some unlikely corners.

Whether damsels or crones, women of all ages have shared the dilemmas, experienced the emotions, and can appreciate the peculiar perspective of Wendolyn Lee.

About the Author

Wendolyn Lee is officially a crone. Back in her damsel days she experienced the same angst and insecurities that have plagued teenage girls throughout history. Wendolyn is a lover of words and rhymes. She learned how to analyze the dire situations, sort through chaotic emotions, and put it all down on paper, neat, orderly, in verse. Then she felt better.

Wendolyn is lucky. She found and claimed her one true love, banishing angst and insecurity from her life. The Crone is seldom visited by her muse. Don't look here for a wellspring of insight. Look instead for a treasure of ancient gems, carefully polished and lovingly arranged on these pages.

This is my gift to damsel-dom.
