In book one of the Shadowed World series, young Thornin and his tiny companion Snuft set out on a perilous adventure to return a mysterious sword to its rightful place, fulfilling a promise made to Thornin's dying guardian. As they travel in a land of perpetual twilight, they are being hunted by the dark wizard Zechamael and his ruthless band of wolfmen and harpies, Thornin and Snuft make unlikely friends during their journey, including a young giant and a poisonous little spider monkey, each new companion possessing a skill that will determine the outcome in an ultimate battle of good versus evil.
