About the Book
In her personal search for God, Linda Luz Benvenue, followed the traditional Christian path, until it became evident to her that the number of "good deeds" performed, "Our Fathers" recited, and rituals practiced - as calculated by "others" to be necessary in gaining access to the divine - weren't a guarantee to finding God in the way he wanted to be found. Putting to memory biblical passages that would put anyone at the top of the class, she discovered that nothing seemed to bring her to the place where she could experience God bursting forth within her heart. Her desire was simple. She wanted an open and direct connect to God that was not illusive or contingent upon her worthiness to be loved, but based on her need to be continually in communion with the Sacred regardless of her egoic pursuits.
The Dawning, is a spiritual memoir, a compelling and personal invitation, to follow Benvenue as she encounters the presence of the "All That Is" as it revealed itself to her with affectionate compassion through a series of incredible and "out of the ordinary" experiences that occurred throughout her life. Such encounters led her to the realization that the road to spiritual freedom and unity is not contrived or paved with "must do's" but built upon a deep and heartfelt desire to be in dialogue with the Sacred, 24/7.
By relating her story, Linda Luz Benvenue, invites you to experience the emergence of a sparkling new dawn - one she knows will completely alter your life. Guaranteed!
About the Author
As a motivational speaker, Linda Luz Benvenue, has for the past twenty-six years given lectures and "reality" retreats in the United States and abroad. Her focus is helping individuals understand the synergy - the interaction, which exists between divine/spirit awareness and human/ego consciousness. With clarity and compassion, she teaches and offers ways in which a person can move from being credible to incredible, ordinary to extraordinary, knowing they possess the inherent power to make it happen. In understanding the differences that exist in living a life directed by the intentions of the spirit, or one lived solely to satisfy the inclinations of the ego, a person can stand either atop the mound of freedom creating a life that matters, or at the bottom always looking up, wishing. She ascribes that many of life's struggles often arise from the tension that exists between the ego and spirit.
Ms. Benvenue attended Neumann College in Aston, Pennsylvania receiving degrees in both Behavioral Science and The Humanities where she focused on religious studies. She presently resides in southern New Jersey.
