About the Book

The book is a culmination of short stories written as part of a local creative writing programme. The stories are based on real life experiences and observations of people during my travels abroad on walking and caving holidays to places such as Yugoslavia, Finland and England.

About the Author

Betty was brought up in North Lancashire near the Mooreland's and hills of the Yorkshire border and the Dales not far from Cumbria with its open expanse of countryside. She grew up fond of walking and mountain scrambling in the Pennines and Scotland. It was the love of this adventurous life, which led her to continue this hobby as her main interest in life, travelling frequently on the continent to the Alps and Scandinavia. Her writing continued when she moved to the beautiful mountainous Welsh countryside a real reminder of her times in far off lands to be near her sister.
