About the Book

Living a life free from past bondage presents a challenge to one who wishes to gain an insight of purpose and meaning in this very short frame of time called life. If certain playing fields have been declared level, then why do we still have this nagging feeling that we are not playing just catch up...but are falling behind?

Why are some called, Minorities, and others under privileged, second class and so on?

Why does stereotypes of this race of people and ugly names for that race of people exist in a modern society?

The answers may lie in a not so well known seed sown that keeps coming back like a perennial weed every spring. It dies out for a while, but you soon see it's ugly foliage that is persistent in choking out the good and beautiful that surrounds it.

A seed planted a long time ago and nourished over the centuries has become a huge root that binds many to a certain spot like a giant ankle chain. Only with the knowledge that the root exist can one ever hope to dig it up. When the very source of setbacks, inferior feelings and hopelessness have been identified and you fully understand the motive behind that source, the challenges of life become much easier to overcome.

Managing ones household finances is done with certainty. Making the right moral choice where our children and spouse is concerned becomes a cinch. Becoming a good neighbor and a caring human being toward others becomes second nature.

Knowing that no one can ever manipulate you again brings a freedom to your mind that was intended all the while by your creator.

Six of the most important words in the English language are these: "In all thy getting, get understanding."

About the Author

James E. McMillan was born in Monroeville, Alabama to the late Cleveland and Rosie McMillan. James is married to his childhood sweetheart Eva R. Wells and they have two grown children, Lamiele and Danielle. James is a regional sales manager with a local Chemical company. He is a firm Christian believer who enjoys discussing the word of God and it's practical application to everyday life. His passion is mentoring young people.
