About the Book

"Empire" is a fast paced thriller, woven from today's headlines and what could easily be tomorrow's events. Set in rural Kansas, the mountains of Pakistan, and inside the Beltway; it is a horrifying account of a revenge driven terrorist attack on a typical "heartland" town. The story opens on a darkened American highway in Utah, with two Middle Eastern men, almost strangers, traveling on a mission of revenge. The attackers are led by an Iraqi, formerly a supporter of the American invasion, who is changed by events in Iraq, including the death of his younger brother at the hands of American troops. He devises a plot to strike back at America, using other terrorist members already in place, as well as cell members he leads in through Mexico from half a world away. The heavily armed forces converge on the undefended and unsuspecting rural town. When two of the intruders are captured in Wyoming enroute to their staging area, law enforcement struggles to gather the threads of the plot in time. Will the lack of security in the homeland result in the destruction of a heartland town and the undoing of the war President, or will enough of the plot come to light before it is too late?
