About the Book
This book aims presenting the various types of convexity that exist so far. We intend, with this precursor work, to allow the interested reader to save as much time as possible when taking the first steps towards the study of any type of convexity. We go from generalized convexity to alphabetized convexity (such as p-convexity or S-convexity). We provide a formal definition followed by an alternative definition, theorems that help people deal with each type of convexity, examples, and, whenever possible, connections amongst these various types of convexity. Our references may also help any researcher wishing to make mention to a special type of convexity speed up their processes when writing a paper.
About the Author
Miss M. R. Pinheiro has been studying Mathematics in depth, with emphasis on Real Analysis issues, since 1983. She graduated in Mathematics in Brazil, undertook a few courses from great institutions of research both in Brazil and in Australia (IMPA/RJ, UQ), and is the author of a few original results both in Mathematics (published papers on convexity, on the bubble formation problem, preprints in Analysis) and in Logic (a paper with Semiotica with a solution told to be original so far to the so ancient Sorites paradox as well as a few preprints). Miss M. R. Pinheiro is also the author of a book on Christianity all based on a logical analysis of what should be the actual truth contained in the Bible after so much criminal manipulation of God's words via human beings: Miss Pinheiro took a whole year to study the King James version of the Bible in Portuguese, following each word there, making notes, testing it all with dedication, and was inspired by the breath of God in 2002 to write this book in a non-stopping 3-day delivery in English, which is not her mother's tongue. Miss Pinheiro has become a victim of many crimes since 2001, both in Australia and Brazil, soon to be reported in writing, in detail, documented: all because of a possible monetary prize on the Sorites solution, as it was advertised over the Internet until that year, with quite mysterious disappearance.
