About the Book
Energy healing has been around for centuries falling under the guise of shamanic healing, faith healing, mind/body connection, spiritual healing, and intuitive healing. Conservative religions have often proclaimed “healing” as being couched in the darker spiritual realms. However, you don’t have to sell your soul to the devil to get positive results to do this type of work.
The energy healing described in this volume comes from Jim’s many years of study in several regimens and as a healing practitioner. He has combined aspects of nature spirituality, curandismo, Reiki, shamanic ritual, and a smattering of New Age practices to present a unique and learnable method of healing.
The book is an easy read about a complex subject. With a laid back but authoritative voice, Jim leads you step-by-step through the process of accessing and utilizing a readily available and never ending supply of healing energy. Advanced work includes energetic color therapy, learning to see and balance auras, group healing, chakra clearing, and usages outside of the “normal” healing environment. The book is interspersed with humor and stories from case files—both successes and failures. Anyone interested in alternative methods of healing or energy work will find value in this book.
About the Author
Jim has been doing energy healing work throughout the Western U.S. and the Caribbean for over 25 years. He uses color therapy as an enhancement to his Natural Energy Healing practice and workshops in shamanic work, group healing, Reiki, and Earth celebrations. He is a Reiki Master (teacher and practitioner), amateur herbal wildcrafter, and former mechanic, pilot, soldier, cowboy, cook, and rangeland manager. The questionable “Redneck Shaman” moniker was coined by his sister who likes order and classification in her world. He now makes his home in the High Desert Southwest and St. Croix, USVI. He can be contacted at jaltosa@yahoo.com.
