About the Book

About the Book

Contrary to common heterosexual belief not all homosexuals live happy, irresponsible lives. An untold number of gays and lesbians live in lonely and miserable fear of revealing their sexual orientation.

"Strange Inheritance" is a warm, gay oriented family story featuring the intriguing experiences of a young, gay San Franciscan, who ultimately learns to take full responsibility of his life.

Mark Searle is the part owner of a fine book store bought for him by his domineering father in the fashionable San Francisco Marina District, but against his own dreams of a career in architecture. After a tumultuous affair with a cunning, younger male, Mark's world changes. The owner of his lease plans a forced takeover of his business, and his elderly aunt in England dies and wills him great wealth. This turns out to be a strange inheritance with almost insurmountable responsibilities attached. Having to travel to England several times against his father''s wrath tears him between two worlds, which leads him into a stormy relationship with Dan Hill, a young, problematic English man. At long last Mark can return to San Fransisco to face battles with his father about the serious problems with the takeover of his business. With his inherited wealth he is now in a position to pursue his dream of studying to become an architect and to proceed with his own plans for his future.
