About the Book

Polylogue with Mythokrates is from an encompassing work, Counterdance of the Cybergods, which is drawn from an even larger concept, GALACTIC EXODUS. After Earth’s demise, terrestrial life of maximum variety (active beings; suspended life; cell-banks; a wide-ranging DNA catalogue), is in transit to other star systems hoping to find terraformable homes among their various satellites. Counterdance presents a momentous episode involving a fleet of twelve world-ships mid-voyage, and includes significant documentation. The largest and most precious of those documents required this separate volume.

Polylogue is a transcript of a meeting between future intellectuals and a legendary philosopher. Their guest of honor is Mythokrates, ‘rekindled’ from sub-sleep—as if a long-frozen Aristotle were thawed to meet 21st century scientists: to encounter atomic physics, information theory, molecular biology, thermodynamics, an expanding universe, and quantum mechanics, among the topics of this discussion]. Mythokrates laughs at modern views and the panelists discover they disagree themselves, shattering one another’s theories and embarrassing each other in public.

Mythokrates listens and probes, learning how to contend with the experienced ‘polyloguers’ and expose their inconsistencies (including ‘accidental’ big-bang types; a Pythagorean-like math-universe; a Buckminster Fuller inspired reality out of pure geometry; an information theory version; even a musical cosmos emerging from the 400 octaves of electro-magnetic wave-lengths). Finally, the ancient-one gathers some coherent shards from the disintegrating modern arguments and pieces together a disturbingly different portrait of the cosmos, requiring a science sea-change. Does it make more sense? Could it be true? The reader is left to decide.

This book presents the complete 'Polylogue with Mythokrates,' of which only a synopsis is found in Chapter Nine of its parent volume: 'Counterdance of the Cybergods'.
