About the Book

Memoir's of a Preacher's Kid takes you on a journey through the life of a young girl who searches to find herself. It portrays the real and hardcore struggles of a child who longs to be loved and accepted by her school mates, her natural family, and her Church family. She recognizes that she did not accept or love herself, and as a result sought validation from elsewhere. The book starts at the beginning of her life, starting with childhood, moving through puberty, into older teen years, and her first experiences as a young adult. As she searches for love and acceptance, she realizes that it could not be found through others, but it was inside of her all along. The trauma of abuse, the life a depression, a statistic of teen pregnancy and the heartache of lost relationships are the pieces of Jessica's life that come together to make and mold the person she is today. Her stories aim to encourage and help young ladies in the world who struggle with low-self esteem and low confidence. Coming from the life of a Preacher's Kid (PK), she learns to accept who she is in the world, as well as in the Kingdom of God; She learns to understand her normalcy as well as her uniqueness. You don't want to miss what God may have in store for you, just by reading Memoirs of a Preacher's Kid.
