About the Author
Tell me a story! First it was me, begging my sister to read to me at bedtime Ð then it was my four little brothers, begging me to read to them. My head was filled with the adventures of children and magical beings, so it was only natural that I began to create my own stories. I fell in love with Salt Spring Island and all the rest of the super-natural coast of B.C. while boating with my own family and this, together with my fascination with legends, my childrensÕ Cherokee heritage, and my respect for the First NationsÕ way of life, gave rise to the Adventures of Golden Eye. For the last fifteen years I have been immersed in theatre and as well, I have served in doctorsÕ offices for thirty years while raising three sons and a daughter. Recently, I studied with the Institute of ChildrenÕs Literature who gave me the final courage to put my stories out there. And this is only the beginning. Golden Eye will go on to meet many other groups of First Nations people and learn of their ways and their legends and, of course, have lots more adventures!
