About the Book

A compendium of short stories by Charles Sharps, the author of One More Wakeup, Where Memories Were Made was written to insure that Charlie's family will have a true historical perspective of the memories they share as they sit around future campfires reminiscing of yesteryear. Where Memories Were Made was written by a father who wanted to share the hunting memories he enjoyed with his sons, John and Joe. He also pays tribute to the many happy hours, days, and weeks that he spent with his friends and relatives hunting deer, elk, and antelope in Oregon. Through a potpourri of hunting stories, he gives extraordinary glimpses of the closeness that he has with his sons and expresses his love for the outdoors and his feelings of responsibility for his family. Where Memories Were Made is about his life after Vietnam where as a veteran remembering the past he copes with the present.

About the Author

Born in 1944, Charles J. Sharps grew up in Belmont, New Hampshire. Charlie received his Masters and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Oregon. A retired school administrator, he resides in Oregon with his wife, Susan. He is the author of One More Wakeup, his memoir of the Vietnam War.
