About the Book
The author wants to impress upon the reader, in Color My World, is that the young blind girl reached out to her therapist, because he was kind, and she felt safe with him. He had some difficultiy trying to explain to her why society wouldn't accept him as a sutiable foster father. Because of the trusting relationship that he had built with her, when she did regain her sight, there was only admiration and gratefulness on her part. Her insight was well beyond her years and a lot can be learned from this relationship.
About the Author
Lynn Bortner, graduated with a business degree from York Technical Institute. Her work with Penna Comprehensive Behavior Health as a child advocate fueled her desire to write children's books in hopes of making a difference in young lives. Bortner resides in York, PA where she ws born and raised and enoys spending time with her family. Mother of one, her daughter is married with two children.
