Poems can be written by anyone who picks up a pad and pen. Just put down what ever ideas come to mind and the words will flow with meaning and intent. That is just exactly what I have done. My ideas are a gift to you so start writing your own creations and let them come to life..

About the Author

Poetry writing has always been a favorite pastime for me since 1937. My life time experiences put in poetry form have always been a challenge and excellent exercise my mind. Some poems are non fiction and some are fiction. Ever since my early grade English teacher, Miss O'Riley, assigned our class with an essay using the word ‘adorn or adorned' in it, that one word has opened up many avenues in writing and motivated me in writing poetry. Hence the title of this book, "Poems adorned with words" I believe to be an appropriate title. I have worked as a printer compositor both in job shops and twenty years in a newspaper composing room in Utica, N.Y. I took a typing class and in college studied computer graphics, designs and layout. I have an associate degree in music. I have taught piano privately and played weekend gigs with a band. I have composed several hundred piano compositions ranging from children tunes, Christmas songs, to more advanced pieces such as concertos, waltzes and study pieces. Both my wife Dolores and I have lived in San Diego, CA since 1978 after leaving Utica, N.Y. where I was born. We decided to leave the snows behind. Our four daughters, who are now married, also live in San Diego with their families. I wish to dedicate this book of poems to Christine Anne, Carol Anne, JoAnne and Linda Anne. jbs
