About the Author

Earl Wobeck, though born into an early twentieth century rural environment with meager resources available, managed to extract himself from its grips and go on to earning an advanced degree in journalism with minors in engineering and psychology. This groundwork paved the way to a lifetime of writing in engineering, general outdoor and environmental fields. A professional practitioner in these fields most of his adult life, writing and publishing work encompassed several years as an editor of Popular Mechanics and other magazine, corporate public relations in nucleonics, aerospace, and air frame industries, pubic relations and advertising agency mangement, and lastly, free lance writing. A tour during WWII in India working in communications, afforded additional opportunities for adventure traveling India and Burma jungle trails, and a side-line jewelry business in Calcutta during off-duty hours.
