To see what I see
To hear what I hear

Why do I write
Using the written work, I can portray
The full color spectrum of a prism
In black on white

I enjoy placing a collection of letters in proper order
To provoke a thought in your mind
Of passiveness or passion
Happiness or sadness
Disappointment or unwavering support

I will not enter into the unknown
Trying to convey to you
Something I have not experienced

I will attempt to use vowels and consonants
To share my life's experiences with you

About the Author

Mike has found great enjoyment through the years writing poetry. Mike and his wife, Linda, have traveled extensively in the Caribbean, capturing a particular solitute in Key West. Mike is the owner of a plumbing company, sharing responsibility with his son, Matt. Daughter, Melissa, is a registered nurse. Mike has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL.
