I'm writing this book simply because I love my black people and I want to voice my view in the form of words on how I see the black community as a whole today. In addition, I want their eyes to be open to hope once again and not closed to the devastation that were targeted against us and what we are causing one another ourselves. I want my people to be educated in not only book knowledge, but have a better understanding of life itself. And I want my people to unite together in black love by the extension of their hand to uplift the next Black woman or man. And as far as the title goes, it's a question that no matter where you are in life, we all can do something positive that will better our lives’ and the lives' of those in our community and all around us. It's a title that every Black man should ask himself when he sees all the wrong that is taking place within his community and hopefully it will ignite a fire in his soul that will inspire him to realize that hope begins with him wanting to bring about change. I hope that it is a titled question that will awaken the conscience and compassion of a great people that is sick and tired of the aftermath that is the residue stain leftover from all the violence, the drug selling, the high school dropout rate and teen pregnancy that we are experiencing. Let us get back to knowing that the only time that we should look down on a man or a woman is to lift them up and help brush them off. This is a book that is solely to inform; encourage; empower; equip and uplift the Black man and anyone else who would like to gain another perspective by broaden their mind. It's a book about the view of the black community as a whole from the eyes of a man who has not always made the right decisions in life, but, by the grace and mercy of ALMIGHTY GOD, he now see life in a whole new light and he is someone who is tired of seeing his people not being honest with themselves when it comes to their condition. Someone who is tired of seeing his people last in everything good like health care, finance, education and job creation. But first in every area in society that is bad. From all the senseless killing to robbing, to the selling of drugs, to degrading one another in words and song. Than blaming it on Slavery, the White man; the Country and every other excuse they can come up with and not stepping in front of a mirror and say to that person that he or she is facing that I can no longer blame others for my present day failures. It's a book on how we can become the change we hope to see not only in the community in which we live, but the black community as a whole. A book that has the potential power to change how black folks view themselves and a rough draft opinion on what it will take for them to get back to that proud race that has conquered every obstacle that they have come up against by the way of their strong belief in Almighty GOD, Family, Heritage and a Commitment to achieve and overcome. I hope that it's a book that will bring the black community closer together as a people rather than to keep them separated as so many are today. Some of the words and statements made in this book hopefully will cause the reader to step back and give his or her situation or circumstance a hard look and hopefully say to him or herself, what can I do to bring about change in my community and that of myself? It is not intended to cause a ripple effect or widen the gap between Black's and White's, but to give a clear cut reason to why some may think and act the way they do on both sides. It is a rough draft to once we know that the trap has been laid for the bird (Black People) and we come to the knowledge and understanding of how it works, than we should use that information to our advantage and not conduct ourselves in the actions that the trapper (White man) expects us to act. It will show how the system that is in place was carefully crafted to make Black people think that they are inferior to White people and White people are superior to Black people by way of the Educational system; the Justice system and the Economic system. It will show that through these systems, Black people have been culturally condition to think, act and view themselves in a certain way. It will give insight to show how poverty and economic hardship was systematically placed in the Black neighborhoods to keep the Black man in the proximity of his slave ancestor as much as possible. It will show how the Black man will graciously accept this burden and place blame on everyone else by walking in the traps laid before him that he refuses to gain knowledge of, than cry wolf once he's caught. This book is not design to place all blame on the White man, for only we can stop ourselves and there were and still are thousand's of goodhearted decent White people in America that gave their lives' by speaking out against the treatment of the negro man in this country. Hopefully, it's a book that will open our eyes and band Black men's together with determination; courage and heart, which will propel us beyond the White man's opinion of us and the opinion we have of ourselves. And above all, it's a book that will instruct us to restore black pride back in our community and accept responsibility for the very actions we commit and not blame and fault others for our failures. And once we can come to grips with that truth, with that reality, than we just might have the courage that Almighty GOD has placed in us, to say to our Love one's; our Preacher's and Minister's; our Teacher's; our Community leaders and above all, OURSELVES that simple, but powerful question; SO, WHAT'S WRONG BLACK MAN? And not be afraid of the answer that will follow; The answer is="ME"
