About the Book

Author F. Vincent Singletary has orchestrated a dialogue between five young men of color as they begin their journey into manhood. This intimate dialogue is realized through a collection of poems and short stories. Many people worry too much about things they can’t control or change. This group of brothers believes they have the opportunity to change one boy’s life. This collection traces their relationships as they change and grow into the brotherhood upon which they depend. Each individual needs loving people in his life—to mentor them and to be understanding friends. This compilation of work ponders the trials and tribulations facing the next generation and seeks to open their eyes to the visions that are theirs to claim.
