We all have a strong desire to be seen for who we are. A redheaded child is often noticed for his or her beautiful hair, which can be a blessing, yet it can also detract from the deeper beauty within. It’s our lesson as observers to pay attention to who each person is, redheaded or otherwise, beyond their looks, beyond their beauty, beyond what makes them stand out. However, their uncommon appearance is part of who they are, and it unavoidably will shape the way they present themselves in this world. For them, as for each of us, the challenge is to be attuned to our inner selves, while embracing what we look like on the outside; to allow our body and soul to be in harmony; to accept and celebrate ourselves, so that we can be open to the acceptance and love of others.
