About the Author
I have been a teacher for 23 years. I specialize in pre-school and elementary children. In the past I worked as a head start teacher for pre -schoolers. I was a director of a Christian daycare, and have had many qualifying training hours. My life has been surrounded by children of all ages. My husband and I have spent 27 years working in residential Child Care Facilities for boys, Christian homes for teenage girls, and fostering many teen age and young children. We have one biological child, and we have adopted 8 others. I am a very strong Christian lady and I am dedicated to teaching the Bible to all children. I have used my pre-school training to write a children's book that would be educational and lots of fun. My plan for this book is to nurture the reader spiritually, and academically. At present I home school six of my adopted children. I love to teach using a "hands on" method. Children love to be involved and always at play. I strive to educate my children through lots of hands on activities. I live in the beautiful high mountains of New Mexico. We work as missionaries at Apache Creek Deaf and Youth Ranch. Every year we send a bus to pick up children from different back grounds. One week we invite the deaf. Another week we send our bus to the many Indian tribes around the area. Another week we travel to the inner cities and pick up children to enjoy a week of camp. The camp does not charge any of these groups of people. The children come to enjoy swimming, hiking, rock climbing, horse back riding and many more exciting activities. The most important part of our ministry is to learn about the Lord, Jesus Christ, who is the back bone of our ministry. My life is dedicated to helping children discover Jesus and the wonderful, exciting life they can have through Him.
