About the Author
About the Author: A Life Full of Impact (1947-2000) Carole Ann Nawojski Wright was an extraordinary and dynamic individual. Anyone who knew her knows she was a strong person. Mother of four, Kirk , Kerry, Kris, and Kara and married to Rod Wright. Wright was a prominent figure of the Champaign Urbana, IL aquatics scene for about three decades teaching several generations of youths. Besides serving as an instructor on the Miller Aquatics Staff, she worked with Storm Aquatics and the Champaign-Urbana Aqua Chiefs. Carole was a fourth-grade teacher at the Westview Elementary School in Champaign, also taught park district swim, gymnastics and exercise classes in the community. She especially loved teaching her "Water Safe Your Baby" infant swim classes. "She had such an exuberance for teaching young people..." said Bruce Miller of Miller Aquatics. Wright's positive impact on youth was immeasurable, according to many people. "She meant more to many of the younger people who grew up in Champaign-Urbana than, well, way more than her share." said Aqua Chief's founder and former director Al Ledgin.
