Sunflowers
Sunflowers were in bloom
when this chubby cheeked cherub
smiled at me.
I watched her learn
sometimes painful lessons,
but a young woman emerged.
Knowledge filled her.
A young man caught her eye.
Now this smile is his.
And this time again each year
sunflowers are in bloom.

About the Book
Words from My Heart was written in several stages mirroring the stages that we experience in life. Author R. A. Chouinard has written loving and inspiring poetry to mark the special times in life that have made an imprint on her heart. About the Author
R. A. Chouinard has written poems for over forty years, based upon experience and emotions. She was born in North Carolina but relocated to the Pacific Northwest. She met her soul mate a few years ago. They have settled into a wonderful life together enjoying fishing, camping, family, and friends.
