About the Book

Life in Africa is not easy for less privileged ones. That is what the story of Ojie is about. How he grew up in a rived family and his courageous steps to survive in a world where abuse and hunger are the key words.

Having recovered from the tragedy his aim was to travel to Europe in search of a better life, unfortunately Russia was the first country he stepped into. His disappointment was great since he envisaged a different kind of Europe. At the end he could make the trip to Belgium where his life as a refugee started.

A few years later he visited 'back home' (Nigeria) with his Belgian wife. A new disappointment came across his heart, he found it hard to bear that Nigeria, a nation blessed with oil, could not care for her people, where life for ordinary people is unbearable. The lack of basic necessities as clean water, constant electricity, health care, good roads and education, is a shame for a country like Nigeria.

About the Author

The author was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but when he was admitted to read political sciences at the University of Benin in Edo State, Nigeria, he chose to migrate to Europe due to uncertainty and insecurity in Nigeria.

He now works and lives comfortably with a wife and two children in Belgium. He feels very concerned with the socio-economical problems faced by the vast majority of the Nigerian people.

He was motivated to write this book after a visit to his homeland. He is striving to answer the many questions that remain important to many Africans.
