About the Book

This story traces the journey through the centuries of an ancient iron rusting cannister. This tubular item contains handwritten ‘cello music scores by a famous composer of the past. This is the Vivaldi Codex and it’s discovery under suspicious circumstances in a dusty old attic is of huge value. The tale is intertwined with a shadowy four generations of an Austrian family of the nobility but has a happy ending.

About the Author

Born in South Africa, Carey Maytham was educated at Star of the Sea convent school and the University of Cape Town, where she studied English, History and the violin. She lives in Cape Town with her husband, son and two cats, and enjoys music, reading and cooking.
