About the Book
Memories become more precious as we grow older. Events that happen now and people we come into contact with remind us of something in our past, some humorous, some sad, some life changing. Written from the viewpoint of a gentler time from one who has lived in the fast lane for too many years now. Author has purposely drawn from happy memories although several sad ones are included since they are also part of the fabric of life. Hopefully memories will bring a smile to the readers face and be thought provoking for their own memories Poetry ranges from the whimsical to celebrations of life events and the importance of God in the Author's life. Different types of poetry are included, both rhyming and non rhyming, found verse and haiku among others.
About the Author
The Author was born in Covington, Virginia, an only child of parents determined she would not grow up to be selfish. She is married to Ted and they call Powhatan County, Virginia home now. They have three children, nine grandchildren and seven great grandcdhildren with two more expected. She is a Contract Investigator doing background work for security clearances after retiring from IRS with twenty years experience in the same field. She was a former correspondent for the Covington, Virginia newspaper while living in Lewisburg, West Virginia and covering both business and personal news. She has had several articles published in the church literature of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
