About the Book
As in football, the church congregation is a team. In football, when a player is too rough on the opposing quarterback he gets the yellow flag. and his team gets a 15 yard penalty. In the church we also have those who "rough" the quarterback, but in the church it is the quarterback on the offending player's own team who gets "roughed up" and that person also gets the penalty. This book gives Scriptural and practical basis for throwing the yellow flag on those who are rough on theit pastor. Then we must go beyond that and become encouragers to those around us.
About the Author
"Rev" was told early in his 43 years of pastoral ministry that, after observing his spiritual gifts, his ministry would be to bring peace and unity into troubled churches. Little did he realize then what that would mean. It meant years of dealing with difficult people and personal depression. Growing up on a farm in humble surroundings he treated everyone, every animal and everything with kindness and gentleness. That was his nature, a nature that continued throughout his life. Regularly attending a conservative church from the day he was born he never knew anything but that he was a child of God, saved through faith in the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Savior and the church were close to his heart. Sensing God's call to ministry even as a child, a call that continued persistently, he yielded to that call while serving in the military. While still recovering from years of depression, he here tells his story, a message that is must reading for every church person.
