Life is “normal”. 1968, as mentioned, saw many changes. But no one could have been prepared for what was to come. The Venus probe (if that in fact was what triggered the events) was destroyed but, not before releasing a highly contagious and infectious disease. As the dust and debris slowly fall to Earth the winds blow the alien virus around the planet. In a short time the virus germinates in the tissue of the recently deceased. However, it also can survive as an inactive virus in the living (everyone breaths it in). Once the virus runs its course the dead awaken with a vicious craving for living human flesh. Slowly at first, as it takes awhile for it fully spread. Authorities are not aware that there is even a problem, or refuse to acknowledge its existance. The attackers are viewed as ‘crazies’. Judging by the times many would most like see them drug-crazed hippies and such. It is not long though that everyone begins to realize this is more than mass anarchy organized by draft card burning dope-heads and reefer addicts or social outcast. But that the dead have actually risen up and returned as the walking living dead… undead. Ben and the others had holed up in the farm house. Like them, millions around the word would have done the same. This would include a still innocent young Max Rockatansky and his family. From all walks of life, family, friends, neighbors and strangers alike would have banded together, not just out of loyalty or simple humanity, but out of the need to survive. Because at this time most would have thought this would pass. Even in a society as free as the United States was then, they still had faith that government was going to fix this.

About the Book
George Miller and George A Romero are both superb filmmakers. They have given fans exactly what they expect, creative, entertaining and at times horrifying films. Their visions have often been copied but never duplicated. But imitation, they say, is a form of flattery. George Miller created an almost mythical world based in a post apocalyptic holocaust future. Where knights drive supped up hotrods instead of horses and wear leather instead of armor. The line between good and bad can be as thin as the radiation in the air. George A Romero has too created a world gone mad. But, this is a world where the dead return to feast on the living. In this world your best friend may literally become your worst nightmare. Death has become a way of life… for the living and the undead. These two masters created two separate worlds gone mad. But, after careful review it comes shockingly clear regarding the truth of these two worlds… Was it a zombie outbreak that destroyed Max’s world? Is that the real reason he went ‘mad’? You decide. See the clues. Compare the films (in order of release). See how they interconnect and then you be the judge. About the Author
After travelling the world, serving in the United States Army, and getting to see all the world has to offer… both the good and bad. I have gained a deep understanding of the worlds created by Romero and Miller. The world has survived so many assaults upon its surface from the Great Flood to the extinction of the dinosaurs to the existence of human kind. The threat of destruction hangs over us every day. The films demonstrate the result of the last threat to Earth’s survival, humanity itself. This is something I have witnessed firsthand, ok so maybe that is a slight stretch. But, I have seen the results of man’s destructive power in places like South America, Kosovo, and Iraq. Most have just caught glimpses through the nightly news, I have witness it directly. I have deep love of history, films (attended film school in Vancouver), served as a combat engineer and an MP (military police), been writing and creating stories most my life (never published until now). So many people sit on the sidelines and watch the world around them, most never knowing the world outside their existence. I now want to take my experiences and find an outlet to share them. Through writing, supporting projects, and maybe one day producing my own creation.
