About the Author
Escritora y compositora Ruth N. Franco-Talboy es profesora de gran experiencia en varios niveles educativos. Graduada de la Universidad de New York de maestría en educación musical, administración y supervisión escolar. Curso estudios doctorales en Nova South Eastern University. Ha escrito varios libros Incluyendo canciones inéditas de su autoría. Es la compositora del himno oficial Servir es vivir de la Asociación de Empleados del ELA de P.R. Trabaja para la compañía “Policy Sciences-Exchange Llc“ Actualmente canta en dos prestigiosos coros de Fort Collins Colorado compartiendo su herencia cultural hispana. En este libro presenta canciones para la enseñanza de Idiomas Español e Inglés las cuales fueron creadas en la sala de clase para sus alumnos. Ella usa sus composiciones así como canciones aprendidas en su niñez. Writer and Music composer Professor Ruth N. Franco-Talboy has wide experience at different educational levels in Puerto Rico and the USA. She has a Masters degree in Music and Supervision and Instruction from New York University. Doctoral Studies in Nova Southeastern University. Over her long career, she has written a number of other books and many songs. She composed the Official Hymn of The Public Employee Association of Puerto Rico namely: “Servir es Vivir” or “Serve is to live” Today she works for Policy Sciences Exchange Llc. part time as a multi-media specialist. She finds time also to sing in two prestigious musical choirs, from Fort Collins, Colorado, and uses the opportunity to share her cultural Hispanic background in song. In this book, she presents some of the songs and classroom activities she created while working as a Spanish language teacher in public schools at Springfield Massachusetts. She has also included songs that she learned when she was small.
