About the Book
Jimmy James is a friendly golden tabby cat. He lives with his family in a house with a garden. At the end of the garden is a fence and, beyond the fence, is a farmer’s field. Cows graze there and Jimmy James is very curious about them. One day he decides to go into the field to investigate. What happens next is both surprising and amusing.
About the Author
John W. Paull has always worked with children—first as a teacher and most recently as an education consultant and inspector. He comes from a largenorth London family , and he currently lives in a town in Hertfordshire, where he continues his work with children as a member of the governing body of a local school. In fact this is where he first met the illustrator of 'The Great Stampede'. She was a pupil at the same school. The illustrator, who is now 12-years-old, wrote the following. 'My name is Mia Dickson. I love my pets, friends and family. I really enjoyed drawing the illustrations for this book'.
