About the Author

Having grown up as the ninth of ten children, Steve Pierson has used his own experiences as a model for the main character of the story. His daugther Savannah Jane was his muse when first telling the story to his daughters at bedtime. Wanting to make this a family project, Steve enlisted the help of his daughters—Victoria Rose, Savannah Jane, and Avalon Rae—to assist in the book’s illustrations.
